PM Modi Critiques Political Dynasties in J&K Rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today delivered a powerful address at the Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, targeting the Abdullahs, Muftis, and Gandhis, accusing them of fostering fear and chaos in Jammu and Kashmir. Modi emphasized that the region will no longer be under the control of these families, as local youth are rising to challenge their long-held dominance.

Attacking the Congress, National Conference (NC), and People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Modi stated that these parties have “trampled” democracy and “Kashmiriyat” for their own gains. He recalled the political environment of the 1980s, asserting that these families treated J&K as their personal fiefdom and obstructed grassroots elections to maintain their grip on power.

“Do you remember how they halted elections? They feared new faces would disrupt their family rule,” Modi said, highlighting how this led to a loss of faith among the youth in democratic processes. He noted that the political landscape has changed dramatically over the past five years, restoring confidence in the democratic system.

Modi pointed out that the current environment allows for free campaigning and celebrates democratic participation, contrasting it with the oppressive conditions of the past. He asserted that the youth of J&K are now empowered and confident that their votes can lead to meaningful change.

During his speech, Modi announced a series of welfare measures, promising statehood restoration, financial assistance to farmers and women, and enhancements to health insurance. He pledged that the Central Government is working to provide uninterrupted electricity and support for solar energy initiatives.

Modi celebrated the significant voter turnout in recent elections, stating, “For the first time in decades, polling occurred without the shadow of terror.” He encouraged voters to continue participating actively, asserting that their involvement is a testament to the aspirations of the people of J&K.

Addressing the challenges of past governance, Modi linked violence and disruption in the region to the actions of previous governments, claiming they sold “hatred” for political gain. He reiterated his commitment to restoring peace and providing employment opportunities for youth, stating, “The future of J&K will not be defined by fear but by development and unity.”

In closing, Modi vowed to support the victims of terrorism and announced a white paper to provide justice for those affected. He expressed gratitude to the people of J&K for their resilience and urged them to continue supporting the BJP in building a prosperous future for the region.
