Devyani Rana Wins Nagrota Assembly Seat for BJP

Devyani Rana of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clinched a decisive victory in the Nagrota Assembly seat in Jammu and Kashmir, securing her position with a considerable lead of 42,183 votes. The Election Commission of India announced the results following the completion of all counting rounds.

Rana defeated her closest competitor, Harsh Dev Singh from the Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party, who garnered 17,661 votes. The second runner-up, Shamim Begum of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, received only 10,834 votes, while independent candidate Anil Sharma attracted a modest 837 votes.

This victory represents a significant margin of 24,522 votes, marking a robust performance for the BJP in the Nagrota constituency. Analysts view this win as a crucial indicator of the party’s strength in the region.
