Aarav Mahajan from Jammu Joins Uttarakhand Ranji Trophy Squad

19-year-old Aarav Mahajan from Jammu has earned a spot in the 18-member Uttarakhand Ranji Trophy squad for the upcoming domestic season. His selection comes after showcasing remarkable consistency with the bat in various age-group tournaments.

Aarav has made waves in the Cooch Behar Trophy (U-19), Vinoo Mankad Trophy, and CK Nayudu Trophy (U-23) by accumulating nearly 700 runs, which included three centuries and three fifties at the U-19 level. His performance continued to shine as he made a composed 87-run knock in the U-23 format.

His journey is inspiring, having attended three National Cricket Academy (NCA) camps, the latest being at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence. Last season, Aarav ranked 17th among the top U-19 run-getters in India. Though he narrowly missed a national call-up, his consistent performances paved the way for his promotion to the senior setup.

Cricket analysts view Aarav’s selection to the Uttarakhand Ranji Trophy squad as a significant milestone in his cricketing career. His inclusion symbolizes a step towards greater recognition and potential future accolades.
