In a significant step towards promoting sustainability and embracing circular economy principles, Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. has collaborated with the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to install recycled plastic benches at Shastri Bhawan. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s Special Campaign 4.0 – ‘Workspace Beautification Initiative,’ highlighting a public-private partnership committed to environmental responsibility and creating sustainable, welcoming workspaces.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary of the Department of School Education & Literacy, along with Mr. Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, and other officials from the Ministry.
During the event, Shri Sanjay Kumar emphasized the project’s importance, stating, “This is a crucial step towards achieving our vision of a sustainable future and integrating it into our daily operations. The Ministry of Education, in partnership with Bisleri, is setting an example by adopting eco-friendly solutions and advocating for the circular economy.”

The event showcased eco-friendly benches and tables made from recycled plastic, complemented by plastic collection banks to promote responsible waste management. These benches featured artwork by Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA), celebrating their creativity. Additionally, the corridors of Shastri Bhavan were adorned with these artists’ works, highlighting inclusivity and creativity.
