New Delhi, Jul 15 : Congress Extends Best Wishes to K P Sharma Oli on Becoming Nepal’s Prime Minister
The Congress on Monday congratulated K P Sharma Oli on his appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal, expressing optimism about strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two nations for a prosperous future.
Oli, leader of Nepal’s largest communist party, secured his fourth term as Prime Minister on Sunday to lead a new coalition government tasked with ensuring political stability in the Himalayan country.
Following the vote of confidence loss by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Friday, Oli, 72, took over the leadership. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge conveyed, “On behalf of the Indian National Congress, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Shree K P Sharma Oli on his appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal.”
Highlighting the close bond between India and Nepal marked by deep-rooted cultural and kinship ties, Kharge emphasized, “Every Indian eagerly anticipates further strengthening mutual cooperation for a brighter future.”
