According to a press release from the Railway Ministry, passengers can conveniently order the Navratri Special Thali online through the IRCTC mobile app and website. This move comes in response to the challenges faced by those observing Navratri, who often struggle to find appropriate food options while traveling.
Prominent railway stations participating in this initiative include Mumbai Central, Delhi Junction, Surat, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna Junction, Ludhiana, Durg, Chennai Central, Secunderabad, Amravati, Hyderabad, Tirupati, Jalandhar City, Udaipur City, Bengaluru Cantt, New Delhi, Thane, Pune, and Mangalore Central Station, among others.
A spokesperson from the Ministry emphasized, “Special care has been taken to ensure quality and nutrition in the preparation of the Vrat Thali, honoring the essence of Navratri.” This initiative reflects Indian Railways’ commitment to providing a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience for all passengers.
To book their thali, passengers can simply enter their PNR number on the IRCTC app or visit the IRCTC e-catering website. This service aims to enhance the travel experience, especially for those who are observing religious practices during this significant festival.
