Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has acknowledged J&K Bank’s significant financial contribution towards the education of children of ex-servicemen and war widows under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
J&K Bank’s Managing Director & CEO, Amitava Chatterjee, was felicitated at the Armed Forces Flag Day CSR Conclave in New Delhi, where he was recognized alongside other key contributors for the bank’s dedicated efforts towards the welfare of soldiers’ families.
Addressing the event, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the role of the corporate sector in national development, emphasizing the crucial support provided to the armed forces and their families. He appreciated the bank’s donation to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF), managed by the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) under the Ministry of Defence, which assists the families of veterans across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, J&K Bank MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee stated, “We believe in the transformative power of education. This contribution is a small token of our gratitude towards our armed forces. We remain committed to supporting education and community welfare through our CSR programs.”
