NEW DELHI, October 18 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the ‘Karmayogi Saptah’ – National Learning Week – on Saturday, aimed at enhancing individual and organizational capacity development for civil servants, according to his office.
The initiative is part of the ‘Mission Karmayogi,’ which was introduced in September 2020 and has seen significant progress since its inception. The mission envisions a future-ready civil service that is deeply rooted in Indian ethos while embracing a global perspective.
National Learning Week (NLW) will be the largest event of its kind, designed to provide a fresh impetus for capacity development among civil servants. The initiative aims to foster a renewed commitment to learning and development, promoting a “One Government” ethos, aligning everyone with national goals, and encouraging lifelong learning.
Throughout NLW, participants will engage in various learning activities, committing to achieve at least four hours of competency-linked learning. These hours can be completed through a combination of individual role-based modules on the iGOT platform, webinars, and public lectures by distinguished speakers.
Eminent figures will deliver talks on their areas of expertise, guiding participants toward more effective citizen-centric service delivery. Additionally, ministries, departments, and organizations will host seminars and workshops to enhance domain-specific competencies during the week.
