President Murmu Urges NALSAR to Establish Nationwide Network of Women Advocates to Prevent Atrocities Against Women

Hyderabad, Sept 28, 2024: President Droupadi Murmu, speaking at the 21st annual convocation of NALSAR University of Law, called on the institution and its alumni to help form a nationwide network of women advocates and law students aimed at preventing atrocities against women.

The President emphasized that such a network would have the crucial mandate of working together to prevent and effectively address cases of violence and injustices against women across the country.

“The network will work with the mandate to make concerted efforts to prevent atrocities against women and deal with cases of such atrocities,” the President stated during her address.

The convocation ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, and Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe.
