RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Condoles the Death of Ratan Tata, Calls Him an Inspiration

NAGPUR, October 10: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed his condolences on Thursday following the death of veteran industrialist Ratan Tata, praising him as an inspirational figure with unique vision and work ethic.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bhagwat wrote, “Even after reaching many heights, his simplicity and humility will always serve as an example.” Tata, aged 86, passed away on Wednesday night at a hospital in Mumbai.

Reflecting on Tata’s significant contributions, Bhagwat remarked, “His role in India’s development journey will always be remembered. He established high standards in the industry and introduced new, effective initiatives that will continue to inspire.”

Bhagwat also highlighted Tata’s involvement in various societal initiatives, saying, “Whether it was national unity, security, or employee welfare, Ratan ji’s forward-thinking approach and tireless efforts in all these areas were truly inspirational.”

“We extend our humble and heartfelt tributes to him, praying that God grants peace to his departed soul,” Bhagwat added.

Ratan Tata had previously met Bhagwat at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur on April 18, 2019, marking his second visit to the Sangh’s central office. His first visit was on December 28, 2016, which coincided with his 79th birthday, during a period of corporate turbulence following the ousting of Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry.
