UP CM Yogi Adityanath Orders Immediate Relief Operations in Rain-Hit Districts

Lucknow, Sept 27: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday instructed officials in rain-affected districts to immediately carry out relief operations, ensuring prompt support for those impacted by the recent heavy downpours.

According to an official statement, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for close monitoring of the situation on the ground, calling for swift and effective assistance to those in need. He urged officials to ensure that families affected by loss of life due to the disaster receive immediate relief funds.

In addition to supporting affected families, CM Adityanath also directed that immediate financial aid be provided to individuals whose homes or livestock have been damaged due to the severe weather conditions.

Several districts across Uttar Pradesh have experienced heavy rainfall in recent days, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue warnings for very heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls in the state, according to the weather forecast for Friday.

The government’s priority is to mitigate the impact of the ongoing weather situation and ensure the safety and well-being of residents, the statement added.
